Charging your phone at public charging stations

Plugging your phone into a USB public charging station isn’t like plugging your laptop power into a wall socket. USB handles power and data so anyone setting up or tampering with the station can attempt to access your files. Tampering a charging station to access your phone is attack is often referred to as “Juice Jacking”.

Your best option is to plug your phone into a wall power socket to guarantee you are only charging your battery.
